Annual General Meeting

You’re invited to our Annual General Meeting.

Time: 2pm-3pm

An exciting opportunity to hear more about DCA, our past year and the intentions for the coming year.

We also hope to be joined by Mark Tyson as a special guest speaker, Mark works for Dorset Council as Corporate Director for Adult Commissioning & Improvement.

Dorset Council are shortly due to start consultations on several of its key strategic programmes, so we wished to offer everyone the opportunity to hear what Mark has to say on the voluntary sector’s role in the development of Dorset’s health and social care services, and ask questions* on how this may relate to your towns and communities.

For reference upcoming Dorset consultations include:

• Care homes / property
• Occupational Therapy young workers college
• Family hubs
• Day Centres, development of a hub and spoke model using community buildings
• Communities for All – linking services to wider community needs
• Age Friendly Communities (accessibility)
• Discharge from hospital

* Any questions that can’t be answered during the AGM (due to possible time constraints) will be noted down and offered to the Council, answers will then be provided as part of the follow up information attendees will receive.
